Peacock Cottage

Peacock Cottage is a quaint two bedroom, self-catering holiday cottage situated in Cinderford in the heart of the picturesque Forest of Dean. It is a period property with a traditional cottage exterior, but with a modern touch inside. This property is perfect for family retreats, romantic couple getaways and those who love the outdoors, especially walkers and cyclists.

The cottage is situated along a narrow country lane on an elevated position boasting fantastic views over the forest. It has been beautifully furnished and has all the amenities you will need during your stay. The interior of the cottage has a modern feel with an open plan kitchen and sitting room with a dining area that seats four. The kitchen boasts all of the crockery, cutlery and cooking utensils you will need for cooking any delicious meals. Furthermore, the dishwasher and washing machine is sure to make your stay that bit more convenient. There is a spacious front garden and a large back garden, both overlooking the Forest of Dean. At the rear of the cottage there is a patio area that would be ideal for enjoying BBQ’s on hot summer days or for toasting marshmallows over the chimnea during cold winter months.

Size: Sleeps up to 4 – 2 bedrooms (Bedroom 1 = Double, Bedroom 2 = Twin), 1 bathroom.

Access: Car is advised, however, the nearest train station is Gloucester with train links to London (approx. 2 hours) and other towns and cities. A bus runs opposite the station to a destination that is a couple of minute walk to the cottage (approx. journey 45 minutes from Gloucester station).

Amenities: Nearest amenities are a 10 minute walk or a couple of minute drive. The nearest town centre (Cinderford) is a 20 minute walk or a 5 minute drive. Here you will find supermarkets, shops, cafes, bakeries and anything else you may need.

Family friendly: Suitable for children of all ages, unsuitable for people with restricted mobility.

Linen and towels provided - basic toiletries included – soap, toilet paper, washing up liquid and dishwasher tablets.

Maximum of 2 dogs permitted (additional charges may apply), no smoking inside, self-catering.
